Stories Of Change

The ultimate measure of our success lies in the stories of our borrowers—the individuals and businesses who have partnered with Craft3 to improve their own circumstances, and help us strengthen the resilience of Pacific Northwest communities. We are proud to have literally hundreds of success stories among our borrowers. Here are several that best depict the great work Craft3 borrowers can accomplish with the right financial partner.

Peninsula Drain & Septic (Port Angeles, Washington)

by Jennifer Janda | Jul 21, 2012
Dan Helgeson is a licensed septic inspector, installer, and pumper. Dan and his wife, Jennifer, formed Peninsula Drain & Septic (PDS) in 2008. Washington State monitoring and inspection requirements keep PDS busy in the summer, but the winter a very quiet time in the industry.

Dan knew that the year-round activity of septic pumping could help his business during the winter months. When a local pumper wanted to retire and sell his established business, PDS saw the business as an opportunity to provide year-around employment, creating a complete suite of septic services.

At the recommendation of First Federal Savings and Loan, PDS contacted Craft3 for a loan. Craft3 provided a microloan to purchase the assets of the septic pumping business.

Craft3’s investment enables entrepreneurs to become critical forces in the communities where they live, strengthening family resilience.
