Maggie Kirby Weiland, SVP

Maggie Kirby Weiland is Senior Vice President and Development Director for Craft3. She leads Craft3’s capital development activities and is responsible for developing a diverse and stable funding base for the achievement of Craft3’s annual and long-term performance goals. She has over 10 years of experience in capital raising and has secured more than $200 million in financial resources for Craft3. Maggie Kirby leads research, proposal development, investor due diligence, negotiation and closing processes, investor cultivation and relationship management, and planning and implementation of the organization’s fund development strategy. She also works closely with Craft3’s Compliance Department, ensuring all commitments are being met timely and accurately for more than 150 investors and grantors. Maggie is based in Craft3’s Bend, Oregon office.

Maggie first joined Craft3 in 2007 as the Mid-South Coast Strategy Coordinator, providing consulting services and lending program outreach to support and promote triple bottom line benefits for rural coastal communities in Oregon. Prior to joining Craft3, she worked predominantly with nonprofit organizations focused on natural resource conservation and environmental protection. She has specialized knowledge in nonprofit management, organizational capacity building and conflict resolution.

She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. She holds a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning with an emphasis in natural resource management and conservation from the University of Virginia. She currently serves on the Deschutes County Planning Commission as Vice Chair, Central Oregon Locavore Board of Directors, and the Bend Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bend Advisory Board.
