Our ADU loan is designed to be more accessible for lower-income home owners and to be an attractive alternative to financing through a home equity loan, home equity line of credit (HELOC), or a construction loan. Our loans are accessible to many homeowners, including those without perfect credit. And you won’t be charged a higher interest rate if you have a lower credit score. Rates and terms are determined by applicants’ annual household income.

Loan availability, terms and conditions current as of 12/01/20 and are subject to change. One percent origination fee of loan amount and appraisal costs apply. Property insurance required. Flood insurance may be required. All loan applications are subject to credit, property, and project approval. Examples and APR includes the approximate cost of prepaid finance charges, including a $1,300 origination fee and third-party costs of $700. Actual APRs for individual loans may differ.


Our ADU Loans are available for:

  • Residential properties in Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties, Oregon
  • Owner-occupied, single family residences or residences housing a direct family member of the property owner*
*Craft3 can offer our ADU loan products on non-owner-occupied properties when a resident in either unit (primary residence or new ADU) is (or will be) family of the property owner. Family is defined as: Parent, Grandparent, Children, Sibling, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin (in-laws, ‘step’ family are included).



The order can vary, but here are some important steps in the process:

Discuss your project with Craft3 or get started using the 'I Want Financing' button above.
Securely sign your electronic loan documents. By request, document signing is also available via postal mail.
When your loan is approved and your design finalized, your contractor can get to work.
Repay your loan with automated payments from your bank account.
