Better Futures Together Family Services

Craft3 has a long history of making impactful investments that support community services critical to creating strong, vibrant and purpose-driven communities. That’s why we were able to provide Better Futures Together with working capital for its first few months of operations while it waited to be reimbursed through its DCYF contracts.
Better Futures Together Family Services (BFT) was founded in 2019 by a group of women who believe that supporting families as they navigate the foster-care system can strengthen the overall community.

Founders Candace, Diana, Kathy and Stacy work directly with the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) to provide court-ordered visitation in a safe and nurturing environment for parents, children and relatives to build bonds and the skills needed for reunification.

These ladies bring a combined 42 years of experience of the foster care system, advocating for families and children, working with social workers and supporting foster parents.

Despite their vast personal experience, BFT is considered a start-up business, one that is difficult to finance. Luckily, Greg Hoagland, Small Business Relationship Manager at Washington Trust Bank knew Craft3 could help.
