Shoalwater Bay Tribe Wellness Center

The Shoalwater Bay Tribe members had to drive over 80 miles to seek medical care at the Quinault Indian Reservation. Craft3 helped the Tribe finance a 14,500 square foot Wellness Center.

The Shoalwater Bay Tribe (SBT) is one of Washington’s smallest and most remote Tribes. SBT members had to drive over eighty miles to seek medical care at the Quinault Indian Reservation. Without onsite care, the Tribe experienced an infant mortality rate of more than 50%.

In response, Craft3 helped SBT finance a 14,500 square foot Wellness Center. The facility offers comprehensive healthcare for Tribal and Alaska Native people. Following its spirit of giving, SBT also extends healthcare services to non-Tribal individuals in the surrounding community. The high quality and compassionate services provided at the Wellness Center have Tribal and non-Tribal patients selecting SBT as their primary healthcare facility.

Our investment in Shoalwater Bay Tribe strengthens economic and
family resilience by increasing entrepreneurship, supporting economic growth and strengthening access to essential services.

This $1.7 million New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) investment was made possible with capital provided by Wells Fargo Bank, Sterling Savings Bank and Bank of Astoria and other financing provided by Bank of the Pacific.

The Tribe created or retained 30 full-time jobs, leveraged $3 million in additional funds and assisted 600 low-income families. Learn more at
