Turner Waskom

Chief Lending Officer, EVP
NMLS#:
"As a former small business-owner, I remember how difficult it was to find a trusted partner that could help support my business. I’m proud that Craft3 is able to play that role – being not just a provider of capital, but also an organization that its customers can trust for advice."

As the Chief Lending Officer, Turner oversees a large portion of the Craft3 staff, and is responsible for the performance of both Commercial and Consumer origination. He focuses on team building and individual development and his favorite work quote is, “Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast.” No one is exactly sure what this means, but our best guess is that it’s worth taking time to make sure you do things right, to ask questions early on, and to focus on process.

Turner was drawn to Craft3 for the chance to truly make a difference. “Capital can create positive change in our communities and individual entrepreneurs' lives. It’s a driving force in what we do each day.” Prior to joining Craft3 in 2013, Turner held a variety of senior lending roles in Central Oregon with Wells Fargo, Columbia River Bank and Bank of the Cascades. With his wife, he also started and ran a bike shop in Bend for several years.

Outside of work, Turner has spent a lot of time on the volleyball court. For 30 years, he and his wife have coached volleyball in Central Oregon for high school and club teams. They recently retired from coaching and now have a small farm and a “few” rescue animals that keep them busy.
